Yet a love story/commission...

I was approached by a client who wanted to ask her geeky boyfriend to marry her.
She wanted a comic strip to present to him.
She said he always wanted to marry her but the reason why they never married is because, they haven't asked each other....Yet.
She needed it written, drawn and printed in a weekend.
Here is her piece:
15.5"x24" ink, no computer or white out

...by the way, he said "Yes!"

What I've been doing...

Okay, I've been busy. I Received a contract to design a game for Calliope Games .
I can't say what the title is (because it hasn't been named) but
the game is part of a KickStarter project here.

There's a gameboard, cards, box art
...lots of stuff!
However they said that they don't want to leak any final art (including the gameboard).
Yet here is a collage of approved preproduction art.
I'm beyond the half-way point of the project so the Yets will be back soon!

Yet at MotorCity Comicon with new art!

I've been busy with finals and getting ready for the show here:
so there's no new sketches,
but here is the new art that will be premiering at MotorCity Comicon!
 "Yet a Crash Landing!"
22"x28"
This photo was taken off of my drawing table, I apologize for the keystone effect.
It will be in the frame as well.

Here's a close-up of one of the remarks on the matt.
Pity the wizard!

Also I have 11"x17" prints of the Stan Sakai benefit art.
This is the only matted, remarked print I have.
This size is 16"x20".

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in Detroit!

Now with more class....es....

San Diego's ConDor Convention #21 is coming up and this is the design for 2014
drawn in pencil.

After I got approval a couple of days ago, this happened with ink and a brush.

After I paint this, I will catch up with the news from
"Rocko's, the TreeWorld's Dancing Capital & Bar"!

Yet some Christmas Gifts

Christmas is about the gifts we give so
here are a couple of commissions.

 This is for the
"Sock-It-to-Em"
Socks for the homeless campaign.
I'll post the website as soon as I can find their site
...or donate socks to your local homeless shelter!

This is for Mya...a new fan I met who
has a pet pug!

What did you do?! round 2

While my computer is being fixed, I thought I would photograph the progress....

What did you do?!

Commission for a new print.
 rough sketch
and a final clean-up sketch
I don't usually like staying this tight with a pencil sketch unless it is for a client to approve.

Comics Revue

I was asked to do a cover for Comics Revue  here is the initial sketch:
Changes were made so the drawing would contain only their published comic strips, and here is the result.
I'll post the final piece when it's completed.
