Dancing Thursdays 4

There is always a lot of dancing birds to draw at Rockko’s and

I couldn't help but draw a couple of fairies too.

SO.....

 here is a couple of photos from the ConDor Convention.

This is the resort where the convention is.

I took the photo from the roof of the hotel.

I was on the second floor.

When I got there I found a gift basket (on the right) of 

cheese & crackers and fruit!

Randy and Colleen, the organizers who asked me to the show.

Another convention organizer, Ron, who gets my art onto the t-shirts!

I was promoted to judge of the masquerade contest, and

made new friends!

Then I had a great time talking about photography and comics with

Lowell Cunningham and his girlfriend.

I won't bore you with all the photos I got but it was a fantastic time and I hope to make it back!

Next week, I'll post some more swing dancing sketches!

Back from San Diego!

Well, I'm back from ConDor in San Diego, where there was a lot of sci-fi, fantasy and even more steampunk stuff and I'll be posting some photos soon.

Meanwhile here is a sketch from my small sketchbook!

Waiting and sketching....2

Still spending too much time in waiting rooms,

 These two were wandering around the waiting room.

This fairy was waiting with for news about her mom and comforting her mom's best friend.

I didn't have a pencil with me so I had to sketch it with a ball-point pen and finish it with a fine marker.

When I got back to teach, a student was looking for me to give me this...

...so that's why I haven't been posting.

Hopefully next week, it is back to normal and less traveling.

Waiting and sketching....

I didn't go with Spec and Perry this week to Rockko's, instead we went to 

a waiting room for a friend.  

So what do you do while you wait?

I sketch the patients....

 I found out that you can't give unicorns thermometers because they chew on them.

 This Yet slithered in and just needed water.
