Yet some Christmas Gifts

Christmas is about the gifts we give so
here are a couple of commissions.

 This is for the
Socks for the homeless campaign.
I'll post the website as soon as I can find their site
...or donate socks to your local homeless shelter!

This is for Mya...a new fan I met who
has a pet pug!

PG-04 Perry interrupts his story

Perry:  Is this story too scary?
Crew:  N-N-No, w-we are shiverin' 'cause it's cold-d-d!

So now Perry's story continues as
he receives orders from his aardvark commander!

Friday, November 16, 2012

The story takes place immediately after
the story in volume 3 and
the rescue of an army of human Trackers.

Friday, November 9, 2012

I've started a new 30 page story*
that follows on the heels of the third YETS! graphic novel.
My question for you is,
Do you want to see the progression of
the pages as they go from pencils to finish, or
do you want to view completed pages?
Let me know on FaceBook or in the
comments section!

*(actually it was started in December but I had to set my life aside when Linda was diagnosed with cancer...).

Dancin' Thursdays part 6

It's Rocko's Barnyard Boogie!
Rocko opened the bar to the TreeWorld's farm animal population.
You can see how he had to make renovations to the dance floor.
 They filled the bar.

It will take me a couple of weeks to capture all of them.

Dancin' Thursdays part 5

I haven't posted the sketches from,
 "Rocko's, the TreeWorld's Dancing Capital & Bar!"
so here are the drawings from
two weeks ago when the birds flocked in:
and here are the drawings from this week,
where I sat next to Rocko's pond,

A lot of the fish sat at the bar waiting for dance partners,
though this female sawfish danced all night!
She had fun with the guys that could really swing!
The mermaid DJ had her own problems at the end of the night...
...and I found the origin of the saying,
"...drinks like a fish..."

A New Book! New Art!--EDIT

The title is, “Linda’s ArtHouse”.  It will be a story-sketchbook, 32pages.
Available by the end of October.
It is a "Story Sketchbook".
Here is the wrap around painted cover.
Here is the interior cover, the original drawing is roughly 28"x40"

 The logo
 What is it about?
It’s a YETS! tribute to my late fiancee’ , Linda who passed on August 4th 2012.
Here is an excerpt from the introduction,
“Lin was in the hospital, diagnosed with terminal bone cancer.

She arrived back home under the care of Hospice, it was difficult and painful for her to leave her house very often, so she taped up a Valentine’s card and
ordered me and her daughter to,
“draw something else to decorate the room.”

Me, and Linda’s daughter, Ondi did just that until Linda passed seven months later, we drew poignant things, silly things, large things, tiny things. We drew in early in the evenings or late at night and sometimes we just taped pictures to Linda’s wall for her to find, and
laugh at, when she woke up the next day.
Our unwritten ArtHouse rule was, “don’t draw anything sad”.”

If you’ve read “YETS!” and enjoyed the stories and art then you’ve enjoyed Linda’s work.
She edited most of the first three volumes.

This is a tough, emotional time for me and my friends, but “YETS!” will continue.

It is what Linda asked for.

Here are some sample pages,

Dragon Con part 2

Here is some more photos
This is about 1/4 of the masquerade party.

The Armory had a nice exhibit.

My next pet will be a Ferret.
 a steam computer

Unfortunately there won't be any more photos from the artshow...
...but I was awarded this by the judges.
for this piece.

The artshow also had a charity auction with artists using baseballs to create an art piece.
These great fans won my entry.

I just drew with a ball point pen, but there were unbelievably great pieces that had sculptures added to the baseballs.

Then on Tuesday at 5am I left a foggy Atlanta.
I'll be back with new drawings soon.

Dragon Con part 1

First, I thought I'd post some photos from the convention.

The costumes are the best reference, Harley wanted to pose in front of my art show table.
This will make a great reference for the uniform for the Trackers in book.
Actually it is a World War One German Uniform circa 1915.
 A Wheelchair/Dalek costume.
 A SteamPunk Wheelchair!
video games (the girl on the right, her spine actually lit up)
 Harley vs. Halo
more great reference for fantasy worlds
Zombie Nazi can it get better?
 Yes.  Yes, it gets better.
After I stopped to take her picture,
I turned around and this is what was behind me...

Atlanta has the museum for puppetry arts.
This marionette was operated by one person underneath on the left side of the picture.

 Sunday night was a blur...
 King Bender was in charge.
 Samurai reference
*sigh*   There's always one of them.
 Dr Who fans!

I was speechless....
